While renewing my HI state drivers license in providing documentation for proof of name changes I was told I had to provide a adoption paper or change of name document for taking my stepfathers last name after my mother married him . On top of that the lady told me I would require a new birth certificate reflecting the change . Oh my gosh what is wrong here …..my biological father does not erase and get replaced because my mom married someone else. How does this have anything to do with my renewal of my drivers license.
