I can’t remember the first one’s name and I think the second young lady was Jennifer. I explained to them that my son had an expired registration and if I could come down and pay without the registration with debit card. She said certainly and we’ll be here. I left immediately from my home in Oakland and drove to Somerville County Clerks Office, arriving at 4:30 and the office was closed. I was furious!! I thought there would be someone to stay an process my expired registration so my son could drive the car to work on Monday. I realize county government doesn’t get paid overtime unless it’s programmed in the budget but a little “good will” or at least to let me know that they would close at 4:30pm sharp and I would have waited and not been furious with the clerks. This is about the principle of me coming after they told me they’d be there and the office was closed. I’m not mad anymore, just want someone to understand that goodwill and proper communications goes a long way for Fayette County citizens. God Bless Ya’ll.
