I have not had a worse experience in my entire life than what I experienced at the Taos MV office. Last week I had my purse stolen and made my first attempt to replace my drivers license which I just got when I moved here in June. I was told I needed my passport, social security card and two forms of proof of residence I was told no picture would be taken at my next appointment . I waited 45 minutes to learn this. I went back Monday afternoon to find out the office closed at 4pm. Tuesday I returned and waited an hour on my lunch break and had to leave. Wednesday I returned and a different employee took all of my information after waiting 50 minutes and told me, now you have to wait to get through the next process. I had to go to court for work and could not wait. I explained this to the employee who told me she would keep my number in the cue and when I returned I would be seen and I was told I had to have another picture. That took an hour. I came back at 3:45 today to learn that my number had been taken out of the cue and I had to get a new one. At 4:50 I was seen by yet another employee. This person asked me why did you bring all of this paperwork in, you just got your license in June and to top it off my picture was taken and it was really bad. By that time I told the person I have been here several times to figure this out, to which she responded in a very rude voice. “I was just asking” She charged me exactly the same amount I paid for the first license. In the future I will go out of my way not do business with Taos Motor Vehicle. I love Taos, but this experience left a nasty taste in my mouth.
