Trooper M Jenkins (08200 2 C 13) just gave our driver a violation for being overlength. Driver’s name is Reed Burchett. CP# 0220950. The combined length of our truck & trailer is 66′. Therefore, we purchased an overlength permit which our driver had in his possession. Trooper Jenkins told him that the permit covers “load only”, not the combined length, and that the combined length of our truck/trailer has to be no more than 65′. What’s the purpose of an overlength permit if that’s the case? We would have to remove the front bumper of every truck in our fleet if that’s the case. We would like to have clarification on this. Thank you.
